<br /> 12 <br /> RESOLUTION 1984-79R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE TEXAS <br /> DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH FOR SERVICES PURSUANT <br /> TO THE SPECIAL SUPPLEMENTAL FOOD PROGRAM <br /> FOR WOMEN, INFANTS AND CHILDREN (WIC); <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF SAID CITY <br /> TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas <br />wishes to continue its participation in the Special Supplemental <br />Food Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) of the United <br />States Department of Agricultural (USDA) which provides food and <br />nutritional information to qualified participants; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said City Council is willing to assume <br />administrative control of the local program; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the Agreement between the City of San Marcos, <br />Texas, and the Texas Departmeht of Health for services pursuant to <br />the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and <br />Children (WIC) of the Unites States Department of Agriculture <br />(USDA), a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein <br />for all intents and purposes be, and is hereby, approved in all <br />respects. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager of said City, A. C. Gonzalez, <br />be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute said agreement on <br />behalf of City. <br /> PART 3.
