<br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING
<br /> ORDINANCE 1983-45, ADOPTED SEPTEMBER 12,
<br /> 1983, WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED
<br /> ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING
<br /> EACH ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL
<br /> GOVERNMENT OF SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL
<br /> YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1983, AND ENDING
<br /> ON SEPTEMBER 30, 1984, AND APPROPRIATED
<br /> MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND PURPOSES
<br /> OF SUCH ESTIMATE; TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES
<br /> AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPTING
<br /> SAID REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING
<br /> AN EMERGENCY.
<br /> WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August 5, 1983,
<br />the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a
<br />public hearing on August 15, 1983, on the budget proposed by
<br />the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning
<br />October 1, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons
<br />were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item
<br />or the amount of any item therein contained; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, public hearings to consider proposed uses of
<br />Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 15 funds were held on August
<br />I, 1983, and August 15, 1983¡ and,
<br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearings, the City Council of
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said
<br />City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1983, and
<br />ending September 30, 1984, on September 12, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth itemized estimates of the
<br />expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for
<br />said fiscal year and appropriated money for the various fund s
<br />and purposes of such estimate; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 8.16 of the City
<br />Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council
<br />declares that a public necessity exists which requires
<br />amendment of said budget; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1983-45, adopted September
<br />12, 1983, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense
<br />of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal
<br />government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October
<br />I, 1983, and ending on September 30, 1984, and appropriated
<br />money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate,
<br />be, and the same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibit A
<br />which is attached hereto and is incorporated herein, in words
<br />and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes.
<br /> SECTION 2. That the said revisions and
<br />reappropriations which shall be the amended budget for the
<br />City of San Marcos, Texas, for the fiscal year 1983-84
<br />beginning October 1, 1983, and ending on Septemeber 30, 1984,
<br />be, and the same are hereby, approved and adopted.
