46 RESOLUTION 1984-87R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN l'1ARCOS, TEXAS, RATIFYING THE ACCEPTANCE OF TWO (2) GRANTS FROM THE GOVERNOR'S CRIMINAL JUSTICE DIVISION AND APPURTENANT SPECIAL REQUIRE- l'1ENTS BY THE FINANCIAL OFFICER, CHIEF OF POLICE AND CITY MANAGER ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY FOR CRIME PREVENTION COORDINATOR/2 (GRANT NO. SF- 85-AOl-9165) AND JUVENILE OFFICER/l (GRANT NO. SF-85-C02-9169) ON AUGUST 30, 1984 AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on March 2, 1984 the City Manager, on behalf of the City of San Marcos, Texas, made application for assis- tance to the Governor's Criminal Justice Division for a Crime Prevention Coordinator for said City, the execution of such application having been subsequently ratified by Resolution 1984-30R adopted April 23, 1984; and, WHEREAS, on l'1arch 9, 1984 the City Manager, on behalf of the City of San Marcos, Texas, made application for assistance to the Governor's Criminal Justice Division for a Juvenile Law Enforcement Officer for said City, the execu- tion of such application having been subsequently ratified by Resolution 1984-31R adopted April 23, 1984; and, WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Texas has approved such grant applications as evidenced by the Statement of Grant Award for each grant from the Governor's Office dated August 24, 1984; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN l\lARCOS, TEXAS: PART 1. That the acceptance of two (2) grants from the Governor's Criminal Justice Division and the special requirements appurtenant thereto by the Financial Officer, Chief of Police and City l'1anager on behalf of said City for Crime Prevention Coordinator/2 (Grant No. SF-85- AOl-9165) and Juvenile Officer/l (Grant No. SF-85-CO2- 9169) is hereby in all things ratified.
