<br /> 10 <br /> ORDINANCE 1984-108 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING ORDINANCE 1984-86 ADOPTED <br /> SEPTEMBER 13, 1984 WHICH SET FORTH AN ITEMIZED <br /> ESTIMATE OF THE EXPENSE OF CONDUCTING EACH <br /> ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT OF THE MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF <br /> SAID CITY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, <br /> 1984 AND ENDING ON SEprrEMBER 30, 1985, AND <br /> APPROPRIATED MONEY FOR THE VARIOUS FUNDS AND <br /> PURPOSES OF SUCH ESTIMATE; TO REVISE SAID ESTIMATES <br /> AND TO REAPPROPRIATE SAID FUNDS; ADOPTING SAID <br /> REVISIONS AND ESTIMATES AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS, after publication of notice on August 10, 1984, <br /> the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, held a <br /> public hearing on August 20, 1984, on the budget proposed by <br /> the City Manager for said City for the fiscal year beginning <br /> October 1, 1984; and, <br /> WHEREAS, at said public hearing all interested persons <br /> were given an opportunity to be heard for or against any item <br /> or the amount of any item therein contained; and, <br /> WHEREAS, a public hearing to consider proposed uses of <br /> Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 16 funds was held on August <br /> 20, 1984; and, <br /> WHEREAS, after said public hearing, the City Council of <br /> the City of San Marcos, Texas, adopted the budget for said <br /> City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1984, and <br /> ending on September 30, 1985, on September 13, 1984; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said budget set forth i temi zed estimates of the <br /> expense of conducting the San Marcos municipal government for <br /> said fi scal year and appropriated money for the various fund s <br /> and purposes of such estimate; and, <br /> WHEREAS, In accordance with Section 8.16 of the City <br /> Charter of the City of San Marcos, Texas, said City Council <br /> declares that a public necessity exists whi ch requires <br /> amendment of said budget; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That Ordinance 1984-86, adopted September <br /> 13, 1984, which set forth an itemized estimate of the expense <br /> of conducting each administrative unit of the municipal <br /> government of said City for the fiscal year beginning October <br /> 1, 1984, and ending on September 30, 1985, and appropriated <br /> money for the various funds and purposes of such estimate, <br /> be, and the same is hereby, amended as set forth in Exhibits A & A-l <br /> which are attached hereto and ar~ incorporated herein, in words <br /> and figures as shown therein, for all intents and purposes. <br /> SECTION 2. That the said revisions and reappropriations <br /> which shall be the amended budget for the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, for the fiscal year 1984-85 beginning October 1, 1984, <br /> and ending on September 30, 1985, be, and the same are <br /> hereby, approved and adopted. <br /> SECTION 3. That the importance of this Ordinance <br /> creates an emergency and an imperative public necessity so <br /> that the provisions of the Charter requiring that ordinances <br /> shall be presented at three separate meetings and that no <br /> ordinance shall become effective until the expiration of ten <br /> ( 10) days following the date of its final passage be <br /> suspended, and these provisions are hereby suspended, and <br /> this Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and <br /> effect from and after its adoption and after its publication <br /> in a newspaper of general circulation within the City. <br />
