<br /> 28 <br /> ORDINANCE 1984-110 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br /> THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br /> APPROVING THE APPRAISAL ROLL FOR <br /> 1984 WITH TAX AMOUNTS ENTERED <br /> THEREON BY THE TAX <br /> ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR AS THE 1984 TAX <br /> ROLL OF SAID CITY AND DECLARING AN <br /> EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, passed an <br /> ordinance on September 13, 1984 setting the tax rate for <br /> said City for the 1984 tax year; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor-Collector for said City, <br /> upon receipt of notice of the setting of said tax rate, <br /> has calculated the tax imposed on each property included <br /> on the appraisal roll for said City and entered the <br /> amounts of tax on said ro 11; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the Tax Assessor-Collector for said City <br /> has submitted the said appraisal roll to the governing <br /> body of said City for approval in accordance with <br /> §26.09(e), Texas Property Tax Code¡ now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the 1984 appraisal roll as <br /> submitted by the Tax Assessor-Collector for the City of <br /> San Marcos, Texas, with tax amounts entered thereon as <br /> calculated by said Tax Assessor-Collector based on the <br /> tax rate heretofore set by ordinance on September 13, <br /> 1984 is in all things approved and shall henceforth <br /> constitute the tax roll for the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, for the year 1984. <br /> SECTION 2. That the importance of this <br /> Ordinance creates an emergency and an imperative public <br /> necessity so that the provisions of the Charter <br /> requiring that ordinances shall be presented at three <br /> separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become <br /> effective until the expiration of ten ( 10) days <br /> following the date of its final passage be suspended, <br /> and these provisions are hereby suspended, and this <br /> Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and <br /> effect from and after its adoption and after its <br /> publication within the City. <br /> PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 17 day of <br /> -- <br /> December , 1984 . <br /> L CP~- <br /> -.--- <br /> Emmie Craddock ~~ <br /> Mayor <br />
