ATTACHMENT A <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br />N. LBJ AND OAKRIDGE UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Project Understanding <br />The work to be performed by K Friese & Associates, Inc. (KFA) under this contract shall <br />consist of providing Preliminary Engineering, Final Design, Bid and Construction Phase <br />Services for the N. LBJ and Oakridge Utility Improvements Project. The N. LBJ and <br />Oakridge Utility Improvements project will install various water, sewer and force mains <br />on N. LBJ Drive between Holland and Craddock and on Oakridge Drive between N. LBJ <br />and Lift Station #12. The scope also includes the demolition of Lift Station #10 and the <br />upgrade of Lift Station #12. <br />Basic Scope of Services <br />Phase A — Preliminary Phase (30% <br />1. Project Management and QA/QC: This task includes routine communication with <br />the City; managing subconsultants, manpower, budgets, and schedules; <br />invoicing; implementing and monitoring of QA/QC efforts; and other activities <br />associated with managing the project. <br />2. Meetings <br />a. Project Meetings: KFA will prepare for and attend meetings with the City <br />to kick off the project (1 kick -off meeting) and to review the schematic <br />submittal (1 project meeting). <br />b. Utility Coordination Meeting: One meeting with the utility service providers <br />to determine potential conflicts with existing utilities. <br />3. Data Collection /Review <br />a. Review Reports /Studies /Drawings: KFA will obtain and review reports, <br />studies, as- builts, and other data related to the project. A base map of <br />the project area will be developed using available information. The base <br />map will include aerial photography, topography, parcels, right -of -way, <br />existing water and wastewater lines from the City's GIS system, FEMA <br />floodplain, and other appropriate data. The base map will be utilized by <br />the project team during Phase A of the project. <br />b. Site Visits: Site visits will be performed to verify project conditions and <br />familiarize the team with the project area. <br />c. Staff Meetings: Meetings with the City Staff will be performed as needed <br />to obtain project information. <br />4. Field Investigations <br />a. Topographic Surveying: Macias & Associates, LP will provide surveying <br />support for the project. For the purposes of this proposal it has been <br />assumed that the majority of the survey will be contained within existing <br />right -of -way. Design survey will consist of trees 2- inches and larger <br />within the Lift Station #12 right -of -way and trees 8- inches and larger <br />located within the remainder of the project area, surface features, <br />property lines and 1 -foot topographic lines.
