<br /> 16 <br /> STATE OF TEXAS <br /> AGREEMENT OF LEASE <br /> COUNTY OF HAYS <br /> KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> This Agreement of Lease made this 14th day of March , <br /> 1983, by and between The City of San Marcos, Texas, a municipal <br /> corporation located in Hays County, Texas, and existing by and <br /> under the laws of the State of Texas, acting through authority <br /> conferred on its Mayor, Emmie Craddock, by Resolution duly adopted <br /> on March 14, 1983 , hereinafter "Lessor", and the Hays County <br /> Women's Center, Inc., a nonprofit corporation existing under the <br /> laws of the State of Texas acting through its President, Nina <br /> pryatel, duly authorized by Resolution adopted on February 9, <br /> 1983, hereinafter "Lessee". <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> Lessor, for and in consideration of the rental hereinafter <br /> specified to be paid by Lessee, and the covenants and agreements <br /> hereinafter contained, by Lessee to be kept and performed, and <br /> for the further consideration of the construction by Lessee of <br /> certain improvements to the premises, said improvements to remain <br /> and be surrendered with the premises, has demised, leased, and <br /> let unto Lessee those certain premises in the City of San Marcos, <br /> County of Hays, State of Texas, being a parcel of land containing <br /> 38,449 square feet out of the J.M. Veramendi League No. 2, in <br /> Hays County, Texas, and lying wholly within that tlrirty acre tract <br /> conveyed by E.S. Sutton and Lillian Sutton to the City of San <br /> Marcos by that deed filed on 3 November 1950, and recorded on 13 <br /> November 1950 in Volume 148, pages 138-139 of the deed records of <br />
