• Irrigation of in -play areas shall follow general stage 3 irrigation restrictions unless <br />an irrigation conservation plan has been submitted and approved by the director. <br />If the general irrigation restrictions are being followed, alternative days may be <br />requested to accommodate field usage schedules. Irrigation of plants in inventory <br />at commercial nurseries is allowed on any day between the hours of 6 a.m. to 10 <br />a.m. <br />• Irrigation of vegetable gardens using hand -held bucket, hand -held hose, soaker <br />hose or drip irrigation is allowed on any day before 10 a.m. and/or after 8 p.m. <br />• Vehicle washing is restricted as follows: <br />• Charity car washes are prohibited unless held at a commercial car wash. <br />• Non - commercial vehicle washing is prohibited. <br />• Commercial vehicle washing is allowed on any day and at any time. <br />• Swimming pools: <br />o Swimming pools located outdoors should be covered when not in use to <br />minimize evaporative losses. <br />• Filling of new and existing swimming pools is prohibited. <br />• Make -up of existing pools is allowed. <br />• Operation of outdoor and indoor aesthetic water features is prohibited. <br />• Washing impervious surfaces is prohibited unless required for health and safety. <br />• Foundation watering using a soaker hose or hand -held hose is allowed only one <br />day per week on the designated weekday between the hours of midnight to 10:00 <br />a.m. and 8:00 p.m. to midnight. <br />• Other non - essential water uses are restricted as follows: <br />• Restaurants are allowed to serve water only upon customer request. <br />• All other non - essential water use is prohibited. <br />5.5 Stage 4 <br />For any period when Stage 4 of the Drought Response Plan has been declared, the City <br />may adopt and enforce any or all additional measures as needed to protect water supplies and the <br />aquifer. <br />7 <br />
