RESOLUTION NO. 2014-56R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS INCORPORATING FEDERAL ACTION PRIORITIES <br />OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES INTO THE GUIDING <br />PRINCIPLES FOR THE 2014 CITY OF SAN MARCOS FEDERAL <br />PROGRAM ACTIVITIES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />RECITALS: <br />1. The City of San Marcos works with federal elected officials and federal agencies <br />on issues of importance to San Marcos for the achievement of the City's strategic goals and <br />participates in the National League of Cities organization. <br />2. The National League of Cities has adopted Federal Action Priorities that guide its <br />advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill and with the Administration on issues that also impact the City <br />of San Marcos. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached addendum to the Guiding Principles for the 2014 City of San <br />Marcos Federal Policy Program is hereby approved and adopted. <br />PART 2.
