109 MINUTES OF THE EMERGENCY MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JULY 9, 1985 PRESENT: Mayor Emmie Craddock Council Members Karl W. Brown Bill Coddington Gerald G. Farr * Fred Guerra Betty Jane Kissler William C. Nicola City Manager A. C. Gonzalez City Secretary Janis K. Womack City Attorney Lamar W. Hankins Director of Public Works George Boeker Director of Env. and Engineering Steve Jenkins Assistant City Manager Robert T. Herrera Also Present: Russell Scott and others. Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of direction to Staff regarding the rehabilitation of the Sessom wastewater line. The Council held a discussion regarding engineers the City is pre- sently using (Freese and Nichols, Black and Veatch) they would consider for design work for the slip lining phase of the Sessom line rehabili- tation. City Manager Gonzalez stated if the Council did not wish to proceed immediately with a portion of the rehabilitation, there would be no pressure to go through the bidding process and possibly even to delay the construction phase until next summer. After much discussion, Mr. Farr moved the City proceed with the slip lining portion of Phase I as a separate project and Mr. Nicola seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Kissler, Nicola. NAY: Coddington. ABSTAIN: None.
