<br /> 20 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 1983-32R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN HARCOS,TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS <br /> AND CONDITIONS OF A FIRING RANGE USE <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN SAID CITY AND SOUTHWEST <br /> TEXAS STATE UNIVERSITY; AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY r~NAGER TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT <br /> ON BEHALF OF CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFEC- <br /> TIVE DATE. <br /> tvHEREAS, the City of San ~arcos, Texas owns certain <br /> property adjacent to Hays County Road 225 in Hays County, <br /> Texas, on which property is constructed a firing range; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Southwest Texas State University desires to <br /> use said firing range to provide instruction in basic fire- <br /> arm training to law enforcement officers attending Southwest <br /> Texas State University's Law Enforcement Academy, said instruc- <br /> tion to be conducted pursuant to the basic certification course <br /> taught at said university; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos hereby <br /> finds and determines that said use would be in the public <br /> interest; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the terms and conditions of the Firing Range <br /> Use Agreement between the City of San Marcos, Texas and Southwest <br /> Texas State University, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br /> incorporated herein for all intents and purposes, be, and the <br /> same is hereby, approved in all respects. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager of the City of San Harcos, <br /> Texas, A.C. Gonzalez, be, and he is hereby, authorized to execute <br /> said Agreement on behalf of City. <br /> PART 3.
