<br /> 5l <br /> ORDINANCE No. 1983-33 <br /> ÃN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 13 1/2 <br /> OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO <br /> ADOPT THE 1976 EDITION OF THE UNIFORM MECHANICAL <br /> CODE AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That section 13 1/2-2 of the Code of Ordinances, <br /> City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> Sec. 13 1/2-2. National codes adopted. <br /> The rules and regulations of the Uniform Mechanical <br /> Code, 1976 edition, now and as heréaftêr amended, <br /> and the rules and regulatiOns of the Southern Standard <br /> Heating and Air Conditioning Code, 1976 edition, now <br /> and as hereafter amended, are hereby adopted by the <br /> City of San Marcos, and shall be the rules and regula- <br /> tions observed in all work, construction, installation, <br /> operation, and maintenance of heating and air conditioning <br /> equipment, apparatus, and fixtures, except as other- <br /> wise specifically provided in this Chapter; and the <br /> same are hereby incorporated into this Chapter for all <br /> intents and purposes, and from the date on which this <br /> section shall take effect, the provisions thereof shall <br /> be controlling in the work, construction, installation, <br /> operation and maintenance of heating and air conditioning <br /> equipment, apparatus and fixtures within the corporate <br /> limits of the city. <br /> SECTION 2.
