80 ORDINANCE No. 1983-42 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A CONTIGUOUS TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 60.606 ACRES, LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRESENT CITY BOUNDARIES; APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR SAID TRACT; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT; GRANTING TO THE INHABITANTS OF SAID TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; BINDING SAID INHABITANTS BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS OF SAID CITY AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas, provided an opportunity for all interested persons to be heard at two public hearings, once on June 13, 1983, at San Marcos City Hall, and once on June 15, 1983 , at a site within the area proposed to be annexed, on the proposed annexation by the City of San Marcos, Texas, of 60.606 acres, located in the William Ward Survey No. 3, Abstract No. 467, and the Joel Miner Survey, Abstract No. 321, Hays County, Texas and being more particularly described by metes and bounds as follows, to-wi t: Beginning at a point on the northwest line of the Miner Survey and the southeast line of the Ward Survey, from which the west corner of the Miner Survey bears South 43°-26'-48"West a distance of 2618.66 feet and a concrete witness corner bears North 43°-26'-48"E a distance of 187.54 feet; thence North 24°-08'-30"East along a line parallel to and 250.00 feet distant northwesterly from the centerline of 1. H. 35 a distance of 3659.73 feet to the north corner of this 60.606 acre parcel, from which a concrete witness corner bears South 65°-51'-30"East a distance of 62.00 feet; thence South 65°-5l'-30"East a distance of 250.00 feet to a point on the centerline of I.H. 35, from which the point of intersection of of the south end of the Blanco River bridge and the centerline of 1.H. 35 bears South 24°-08'-30"West a distance of 10,560.00 feet; thence South 65°-51'-30"East a distance of 250.00 feet to the east corner of this 60.606 acre parcel, which is marked with a concrete monument; thence South 24°-08'-30"West along a line parallel to and 250.00 feet distant from the centerline of 1.H. 35 a distance of 2232.36 feet to a point on the northwest line of the Miner Survey and the south- east line of the Ward Survey, from which the north- east corner of the Ward Survey bears North 43°-26'- 48"East a distance of 5352.43 feet, and a concrete witness corner bears South 43°-26'-48"West a distance of 36.30 feet; thence continuing South 24°-08'-30"West a distance of 3047.64 feet to the south corner of this 60.606 acre parcel, from which a concrete witness corner bears North 65°-51'-30"West a distance of 12.00 feet;
