25 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUGUST 19, 1985 PRESENT: Mayor Emmie Craddock Council Members Karl W. Brown Bill Coddington Gerald G. Farr Fred Guerra Betty Jane Kissler William C. Nicola City Manager A. C. Gonzalez City Secretary Janis K. Womack City Attorney Lamar W. Hankins Assistant City Manager Robert T. Herrera Director of Public Works George Boeker Director of Finance Nora Chavez Director of Env. and Engineering Steve Jenkins Director of Personnel Carolyn Liner Director of Library Stephanie Langenkamp Also Present: Mark Hendricks, Russell Scott, Nick Caruso, Melissa Millecam, Bob Smith, Ken Claybourn, Betty Stansbury, Terry Colley and others. Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF PROPOSED CONTRACTS FOR APPRAISAL SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY AND TWO APPRAISERS IN CONNECTION WITH THE PER- FO~ffiNCE OF APPRAISAL SERVICES FOR THE RIO VISTA DAM EMINENT DOMAIN PROCEEDING; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACTS AND ANY AND ALL OTHER DOCUMENTS AND INSTRUMENTS INCIDENT THERETO; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE nATE. City Attorney Hankins reviewed the appraisers and their various quali- fications with Council. Mayor Craddock moved for approval of Charles Noble as one of the two appraisers and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Farr moved for approval of Terry Grissom as the second appraiser and Mr. Coddington seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock moved the preamble of the Resolution and the blanks in Parts 1 and 2 be completed with Messrs. Noble and Grissom as the appraisers and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock then moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unaimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A LETTER TO BE SIGNED BY THE CITY MANAGER WHICH ACCEPTS THE REMEDIAL REPAIRS PER- FORMED ON FIRE STATION NO. 4; AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- IVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler second- ed the motion, which passed unanimously.
