<br /> 9 <br /> RESOLUTION 1983-55R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF' THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOMINATING A <br /> CANDIDATE FOR THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF <br /> THE HAYS COUNTY APPRAISAL DISTRICT FOR <br /> THE PERIOD BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1984; <br /> DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO SUBMIT THE NAME <br /> OF THE NOMINEE TO THE COUNTY CLERK OF HAYS <br /> COUNTY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, is a taxing unit <br /> entitled to nominate candidates for positions on the board of <br /> directors for the Hays County Appraisal District; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the governing body of the City of San Marcos, <br /> Texas, to-wit: the City Council of said City, wishes to nominate <br /> a candidate for a position on the board of directors for the <br /> Hays County Appraisal District for the period beginning January <br /> l, 1984 and, <br /> WHEREAS, said City Council hereby determines that it is <br /> desirable to nominate Fred Guerra as a candidate for <br /> a position on the board of directors for the Hays County Appraisal <br /> District for the period beginning January 1, 1984; and, <br /> WHEREAS, Fred Guerra fulfills the eligibility require- <br /> ments of Section 6.03(a) of the Texas Property Tax Code; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That Fred Guerra be, and he is hereby nominated <br /> as a candidate for a position on the board of directors for the <br /> Hays County Appraisal District for the period beginning January <br /> l, 1984. <br /> PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos is hereby <br /> directed to submit, prior to October l5, 1983, the name of <br /> Fred Guerra to Lydell Clayton, County Clerk for Hays County, <br /> Texas, as the nominee of the City of San Marcos, Texas, for a <br /> position on the board of directors of the Hays County Appraisal <br /> District for the period beginning January 1, 1984. <br /> PART 3.
