<br /> lD <br /> ORDINANCE 1983-56 <br /> 4- ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> TY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING <br /> ':THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY <br /> THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF LOTS <br /> SEVEN (7) AND EIGHT (8) IN BLOCK NINE (9), <br /> GARDENS, SECTION ONE (1), A SUBDIVI- <br /> SION LOCATED IN SAID CITY, TO GABRIEL VASQUEZ <br /> AND WIFE, MARIA LUISA VASQUEZ; AUTHORIZING <br /> THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO GABRIEL <br /> Z AND WIFE, MARIA LUISA VASQUEZ AND <br /> DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for bids <br /> for the sale of Lots Seven ( 7) and Eight (8) in Block Nine <br /> (9), Victory Gardens, Section One (1), a subdivision in Hays <br /> County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof, recorded in <br /> Volume 128, Pages 46-50 of the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas, <br /> also known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 79A-22 & 23 in the San <br /> Marcos Record, a local newspaper with a general circulation in the <br /> County of Hays, State of Texas, on April 10, 1983 and April 19, <br /> 1983; and, <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was submitted <br /> by Gabriel Vasquez and Maria Luisa Vasquez for said described <br /> property in the amount of three thousand five hundred dollars <br /> ($3,500.00); and, <br /> WHEREAS, said bid met the minimum disposition price set <br /> for said property by the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners <br /> of the City of San Marcos, Texas on December 9, 1980; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said Board accepted the bid as the highest and <br /> best responsible bid for said property on April 20, 1983; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said Board recommends the approval of said purchase <br /> price and the approval of the terms and conditions for said sale, <br /> as contained in the bid document; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That the terms and conditions of the sale by <br /> the City of San Marcos, Texas, of Lots Seven ( 7) and Eight (8) <br /> in Block Nine (9 J, Victory Gardens Section One (l), a <br /> subdivision in Hays County, Texas, according to the map or plat <br /> thereof, recorded in Volume 128, Pages 46-50 of the Deed Records <br /> of Hays County, Texas, also known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. <br /> 79A-22 & 23, to Gabriel Vasquez and wife, Maria Luisa Vasquez <br /> are hereby approved. <br /> SECTION 2. That the consideration of three thousand five <br /> hundred dollars ($3,500.00) for said property be, and the same <br /> is hereby, approved. <br /> SECTION 3. That the purchaser is hereby placed on notice <br /> that the subject property is subject to assessment under the <br /> provisions of Article 1105b, Texas Revised Civil Statutes. <br /> SECTION 4. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas, <br /> Emmie Craddock be, and is hereby, authorized to execute a warranty <br /> deed to Gabriel Vasquez and wife, Maria Luisa Vasquez from the <br /> City of San Marcos for said property. <br /> SECTION 5. That the importance of this Ordinance creates <br /> an emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions <br /> of the charter requiring that ordinances shall be read at three <br /> separate meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until <br />
