lJ ORDINANCE 1983-58 ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 30 OF THE E OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO ADD A SECTION, BE NUMBERED 30-9, TO REQUIRE PAYMENT OF A FEE R THE PROVISION BY SAID CITY OF BLUELINES OF S OF CITY'S WATER AND WASTEWATER LINES AND ECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, requests to the Department of Public Works for complete sets of bluelines of utility maps add significantly to the workload of the City's engineering department; and, WHEREAS, other duties and responsibilities of the engineering department require the full attention of the staff; and, WHEREAS, it is desirable that such maps be provided to persons dealing with the City's vlater and wastewater system; and, írJHEREAS, the Environmental Engineer for said City, David Venhuizen, has recommended that such maps be prepared for City by private companies specializing in the preparation of bluelines; and, WHEREAS, Mr. Venhuizen has further recommended that the City charge persons requesting such bluelines of utility maps a fee, which fee shall represent the cost to City of providing said maps; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That the Code of Ordinances, City of San Marcos, Texas, is hereby amended by adding a section, to be numbered 30-9, which said section reads as follows: Sec. 30-9. Provision of bluelines of utility maps. a. The City shall provide bluelines of maps showing City of San Marcos water and wastewater lines to persons requesting such maps for a fee which shall be set by the Director of Public Works. b. The fee set by the Director of Public Works for the provision of the maps described in (a) shall represent the cost to the City of obtaining such maps.
