<br /> RESOLUTION 1983-56
<br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT
<br /> TO DU MOR ENTERPRISES, INC. FOR RECONSTRUCTION
<br /> OF THE INTERSECTION OF GUADALUPE, ROOSEVELT AND
<br /> LOVE STREETS, ALIGNMENT OF ROOSEVELT AND LOVE
<br /> STREETS AND ASSOCIATED IHPROVEMENTS; ACCEPTING
<br /> SAID PROJECT FOR USE BY SAID CITY; AUTHORIZING
<br /> FINAL PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,714.50 AND
<br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, has engaged the
<br /> services of Du Mor Enterprises, Inc. for r~construction of the
<br /> intersection of Guadalupe,Roosevelt and Love Streets, alignment
<br /> of Roosevelt and Love Streets and associated improvements; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, said services were provided pursuant to a contract
<br /> between the City of San Marcos, Texas, and Du Mor Enterprises,
<br /> Inc., entered into on April 11, 1983; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, on May 13, 1983, June 10,l983, June
<br /> 13, 1983 and July 7, 1983 Trinity Engineering Testing Corporation
<br /> (TETCO) tested the subgrades and base material on said project
<br /> and found the density of same to be acceptable; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, on August 26, 1983, Bill McCauley, Superintendent
<br /> for Streets, Engineering and Parks for the City of San Marcos,
<br /> Texas, Tony Cortez, Public Works Inspector for said City, and
<br /> George Boeker, Director of Public Works, inspected said reconstruction,
<br /> alignment and associated improvements and found same to be acceptable;
<br /> and,
<br /> WHEREAS, Tony Cortez has recommended that final payment be
<br /> made on said project; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br /> TEXAS:
<br /> PART 1. That the reconstruction of the intersection of
<br /> Guadalupe, Roosevelt and Love Streets, alignment of Roosevelt
<br /> and Love Streets and associated improvements in the City of San
<br /> Ivlarcos, Texas, have been completed in substantial compliance with
<br /> that contract of April 11, 1983, between the City of San Marcos,
<br /> Texas, and Du Mor Enterprises, Inc., and said reconstruction,
<br /> alignment and associated improvements are hereby accepted for use
<br /> by the City of San Ivlarcos, Texas.
<br /> PART 2. That final payment in the amount of $4,714.50 to
<br /> Du Mor Enterprises, Inc., In full and final payment for said
<br /> services is hereby authorized.
<br /> PART 3. That payment in the amount of $4,714.50 to Du Mor
<br /> Enterprises, Inc., shall be made from Account Nos. 67-00-2515 and
<br /> 68-00-2515.
<br /> PART 4. That this Resolution shall become effective
<br /> immediately from and after its passage.
<br /> ADOPTED this 24 day of October , 1983.
