<br />50 <br />Regular Meeting September 9, 1985 Page 4 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 10, FIRE PREVENTION <br /> AND PROTECTION OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS BY DELETING SECTION 10-18 AND SECTION <br /> 10-42(b) WHICH DEAL WITH THE APPOINTMENT, QUALIFICA- <br /> TIONS AND REMOVAL OF A CITY FIRE MARSHAL AND SUBSTI- <br /> TUTING NEW SECTIONS FOR THOSE DELETED, DELETING A <br /> PORTION OF SECTION 10-42(c) CONCERNING FIRE INSPECTORS <br /> AND CLARIFYING ITS PROVISIONS AND DECLARING AN EFFECT- <br /> IVE DATE. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, GRANTING THE PERMIT WITH CONDITIONS <br /> APPROVED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THE SUNRIDGE <br /> PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> Adoption of Ordinances on third and final reading: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, REPEALING ARTICLE III, DIVISIONS 1 <br /> AND 2 OF CHAPTER 22 (SECTIONS 22-44 THROUGH 22-64) <br /> OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS <br /> CONCERNING THE REGULATION OF POOL HALLS; AND DECLARING <br /> AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 15 OF THE CODE OF <br /> ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY BY ADDING SECTION 15-1, FEES <br /> AND CHARGES FOR LIBRARY SERVICES; SECTION 15-2, PENAL- <br /> TIES FOR MISUSE OF LIBRARY PROPERTY; AND BY M4ENDING <br /> SECTION 15-22 BY DELETING UNNECESSARY PROVISIONS PER- <br /> TAINING TO THE CREATION OF THE FIRST LIBRARY BOARD, <br /> BY DELETING THE PROVISION PERTAINING TO THE TERMS OF <br /> MEMBERS APPOINTED TO FILL VACANCIES, AND BY ADDING A <br /> PROVISION PERTAINING TO TERMS OF MEMBERS APPOINTED <br /> TO FILL UNEXPIRED TERMS; AND BY DELETING SECTION 15-23; <br /> AND RENUMBERING SECTIONS 15-24, 15-25, 15-26 AND 15-27 <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING COMMENCEMENT OF PHASES <br /> II AND III OF THAT CONTRACT OF MARCH 26, 1985 BETWEEN <br /> SAID CITY AND BLACK AND VEATCH, ENGINEERS-ARCHITECTS, <br /> FOR THE PERFORMANCE OF A WASTEWATER SYSTEM ANALYSIS; <br /> AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS <br /> THEREFOR; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Ms. Kissler second- <br />ed the motion. George Boeker stated this would be an extension of an <br />existing contract and that the Engineering and Planning Departments <br />had been very helpful in this matter. Frank Robbins stated his depart- <br />ment would be doing land use and population forecasts and that his de- <br />partment would be making a request for a draftsman with some of the money <br />saved on this project.
