<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
<br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING
<br />THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF THE SALE BY
<br />THE CI'l'Y OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF PART
<br />OF LOT SEVEN (7) IN BLOCK FIFTEEN (15),
<br />VICTORY GARDENS, SECTION ONE (1), A
<br />SUBDIVISION LOCATED IN SAID CITY, TO FRANK
<br />SILGUERO; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
<br />A WARRANTY DEED TO FRANK SILGUERO AND
<br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos, Texas, advertised for bids
<br />for the sale of Part of Lot Seven (7) in Block Fifteen (15),
<br />Victory Gardens, Section One (1), a subdivision in Hays County,
<br />Texas, according to the map or plat thereof, recorded in Volume
<br />128, Page 46 of the Deed Records of Hays County, Texas also known
<br />as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 63A-l2 in the San Marcos Record, a
<br />local newspaper with a general circulation in the County of Hays,
<br />State of Texas, on September 11, 1983 and September 13, 1983; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, pursuant to said advertisement a bid was submitted
<br />by Frank Silguero for said described property in the amount of
<br />five thousand dollars ($5,000.00); and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said bid met the minimum disposition price set
<br />for said property by the Urban Renewal Board of Commissioners
<br />of the City of San Marcos, Texas on April 20, 1983; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said Board accepted the bid as the highest and
<br />best responsible bid for said property on September 16, 1983; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, said Board recommends the approval of said purchase
<br />price and the approval of the terms and conditions for said sale,
<br />as contained in the bid document; now, therefore,
<br />
<br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS:
<br />
<br />SECTION l. That the terms and conditions of the sale by
<br />the City of San Marcos, Texas, of Part of Lot Seven (7) In
<br />Block Fifteen (15), Victory Gardens Section One (1), a subdivision
<br />in Hays County, Texas, according to the map or plat thereof,
<br />recorded in Volume 128, Page 46 of the Deed Records of Hays County,
<br />Texas, also known as Urban Renewal Parcel No. 63A-12, to Frank
<br />Silguero are hereby approved.
<br />
<br />SECTION 2. That the consideration of five thousand
<br />dollars ($5,000.00) for said property be, and the same is
<br />hereb~ approved.
<br />
<br />SECTION 3. That the purchaser is hereby placed on notice
<br />that the subject property is subject to assessment under the
<br />provisions of Article 1105b, Texas Revised Civil Statutes.
<br />
<br />SECTION 4. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Texas,
<br />Emmie Craddock be, and is hereby, authorized to execute a warranty
<br />deed to Frank Silguero from the City of San Marcos for said property.
<br />
<br />SECTION 5. That this Ordinance shall be in effect ten days
<br />from and after its passage and publication in a newspaper of
<br />general circulation in the area.

<br />PASSED AND APPROVED on first reading October 24, 1983.
<br />
<br />PASSED AND APPROVED on second reading November 14, 1983.
