<br /> WATERWORKS AND SEWER SYSTEM CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 1984
<br /> Dated: January 1, 1984 (the "Certificate Date") Due: January 1, 1985, as shown below
<br /> Interest on the Certificates will be payable January 1 and July 1 of each year commencing
<br /> January 1, 1985. The Certificates will be issued only in fully registered form in any integral
<br /> multiple of $5,000 for anyone maturity. Principal of the Certificates will be payable to the
<br /> registered holder or owner (the "Holder" or "Owner") at maturity or redemption upon presenta-
<br /> tion at the principal corporate office of American National Bank, Austin, Texas, the paying
<br /> agent/registrar (the "Paying Agent/Registrar"). Interest on the Certificates will be payable
<br /> by check, dated as of the interest payment date, and mailed by the Paying Agent/Registrar to
<br /> registered Holders as shown on the records of the Paying Agent/Registrar on the Record Date
<br /> (see "Record Date for Interest Payment" herein).
<br /> These Certificates (the "Certifi¡;ates" or "Certificate", which shall include for purposes of
<br /> definition, the Initial Certificate) will constitute special obligations of the City, as pro-
<br /> vided in the ordinance authorizing the Certificates (the "Ordinance"). See "Security for
<br /> Payment".

<br /> date fixed for redemption. If less than all of the Certificates are to be redeemed by the City,
<br /> the City shall determine the maturity or maturities and the amounts thereof to be redeemed and
<br /> shall direct the Paying Agent/Registrar to call by lot Certificates, or portions thereof, for
<br /> redemption. Not less than 30 days prior to a redemption date for the Certificates, the City
<br /> shall cause a notice of redemption to be sent by United States mail, first class, postage pre-
<br /> paid, to each Holder of a Certificate to be redeemed, in whole or in part, at the address of
<br /> the Holder appearing on the registration books of the Paying Agent/Registrar at the time such
<br /> notice of redemption is mailed.
