<br /> 17 <br />Regular Meeting October 14, 1985 Page 17 <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of $700.00 from <br />Contingency Funds for the purchase of City flags. Mr. Farr moved <br />for approval for the purchase of two flags (3' X 5' with gold fringe <br />at $178.00 each plus $34.00 freight), one to be an additional parade <br />flag and one to be a gift to our Sister City, Kensington-Norwood in <br />South Australia (Sesquicentennial) to be paid for \Jith Contingency <br />Funds, and Mayor Craddock seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br />mously. <br />Mayor Craddock stated the next item listed on the Agenda had been <br />discussed earlier in the meeting (Don Laine - status of audits and <br />finances of the City). <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a discussion by Stephen Jenkins regarding <br />the repair and/or replacement of the University and Main Interceptors <br />and asked for the Council's direction for completion as one project <br />or two. It was consensus of Council to proceed with one project. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a discussion of the proposed Ordinance <br />creating a Social Service Budget Review Board. It was consensus <br />of Council to place this item on the October 28 agenda. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced a discussion by Lamar Hankins regarding <br />the Sunset Advisory Commission's recommendations regarding the Fair <br />Eousing Commission, Housing Authority Board, Civil Service Commission <br />and Industrial Development Corporation. Mr. Hankins had furnished <br />the Council prior to the meeting memorandums regarding these various <br />Boards and told the Council if they had any questions regarding any <br />of the Boards, to please let him know. <br />Mr. Brown moved to adjourn into Executive Session pursuant to Article <br />6252-17, §§2(e) and (g), V.A.C.S., to discuss contemplated litigation <br />and matters where the duties of the City Attorney to the City pursuant <br />to the Code of Professional Responsibility of the State Bar of Texas <br />clearly conflicts with Article 6252-17; and the evaluation of a public <br />officer or employee, respectively and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously (11:59 p.m.). <br />Mayor Craddock moved to reconvene at 12:37 a.m. and Ms. Kissler second- <br />ed the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The meeting adjourned at 12:38 a.m. on motion made by Mr. Nicola <br />and seconded by Mr. Guerra. <br /> ¿:~ ~ <br /> Emmie Craddock <br />}(~ 8nóUM Ma?£ <br /> 1\ <br />I~!rl í"I.
