Sally Ploeger, one of the per-
sons requesting the City abandon the alley, asked what opposition the
Council had to abandoning the property. Mr. Guerra said he was opposed
to the alley being sold for $180.00 and Mr. Coddington stated he was op-
posed to the City selling this particular piece of property, because he
felt it would later be needed for drainage. Mr. Nicola stated he was
not opposed to the City keeping all alleys. After discussion Mayor
Craddock moved this matter be tabled and returned to the Planning
and Zoning Commissions, and that a recommendation be made to the Council
regarding this particular alley and all other alleys in the City so that
a consistent policy could be established regarding the City's alleys.
Mr. Brown seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was re-
corded:

AYE: Brown, Coddington, Craddock, Kissler.

NAY: Guerra, Nicola.

ABSTAIN: None.

Mayor Craddock then introduced adoption of eleven Ordinances on third
and final reading by consensus. Mr. Coddington moved for adoption of
all eleven Ordinances on third and final reading by consensus and Ms.
Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously [Mr. Brown is
shown abstaining from adoption of Ordinance 9B(2), which will follow
all the other Ordinances adopted on third and final reading by consensus].
The captions of these Ordinances read as follows:

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 27-22, ADDITIONAL
PASSENGERS, OF CHAPTER 27 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES
OF SAID CITY TO ALLOW AN ADDITIONAL BASE RATE CHARGE
OF FIFTEENCENTS ($.50) FOR EACH PASSENGER CARRIED IN
ADDITION TO THE ORIGINAL PASSENGER; AMENDING SECTION
27-24, TAXICAB SERVICE, OF CHAPTER 27 OF SAID CODE TO
CHANGE ThE HOURS OF OPERATION OF TAXICAB SERVICE FROM
6:00 A.M.
