RESOLUTION 2014 -101R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />AND STERICYCLE SPECIALTY WASTE SOLUTIONS, INC. FOR THE <br />COLLECTION, TRANSPORTATION AND DISPOSAL OF HOUSEHOLD <br />HAZARDOUS WASTE FOR THE COMMUNITY SERVICES <br />DEPARTMENT IN THE TOTAL ESTIMATED AMOUNT OF $62,000.00; <br />RATIFYING THE PURCHASING MANAGER'S EXECUTION OF THE <br />APPROPRIATE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />1. On July 1, 2012, as a result of a competitive bid process, the City administratively <br />awarded a contract (the "Contract ") to Stericycle Specialty Waste Solutions, Inc. for Collection, <br />Transportation and Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste in the estimated annual amount of <br />$9,010.00. <br />2. The Contract was extended administratively for one year as allowed under the <br />Contract provisions because the total contract amount was not expected to exceed $50,000.00. <br />3. The total cost of the Contract will now exceed $50,000.00 and therefore requires City <br />Council approval. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Contract between the City and Stericycle Specialty Waste Solutions, Inc. <br />for the provision of Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Household Hazardous Waste in <br />the total estimated amount of $62,000.00 is approved. <br />PART 2. The Purchasing Manager's execution of the pertinent purchasing documents <br />on behalf of the City is ratified. <br />PART 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 15th day of July, 2014. <br />
