All required or provided parking areas for permanent <br /> principal uses except display areas at vehicle sales or <br /> rental dealerships shall be paved according to city <br /> standards and specifications for all-weather surfaces as <br /> provided in Article VI, Chapter 5, of the City Code. <br /> Parking lanes in parking lots must be clearly marked by <br /> paint, buttons or other approved material. <br /> Alternative 6 - Deleting the lIor providedll language from 37B and <br /> 37(B)(7) <br /> If the words "or provided" are deleted from the first sentences of <br /> Section 37B and 37(B)(7) only required off-street parking will be <br /> subject to the all-weather surfacing requirement. Thi s would not <br /> relieve vehicle dealerships from all-weather parking surfaces <br /> which are required under 37(A) but it would relive all uses from <br /> paving those portions of their parking areas whicn are in excess <br /> of that required by the ordinance. <br /> * * * * * * * * * * * * <br /> ~Alternative 7 - Adding language setting minimum requirements for <br /> / the provision and paving of parking areas in vehicle dealership <br /> display lots based on a percentage of the total area of the <br /> property or the total area occupied by inventory. <br /> Although this would add a specific parking requirement of vehicle <br /> dealerships which is not already in the ordinance, this <br /> alternative offers a comprom~se between the pave <br /> everything/provide nothing choices presented in the previous <br /> alternatives. Vehicle dealerships would be required to pave all <br /> of the areas provided to customers and employees per Section <br /> 37(A), and the new language would require them to provide and pave <br /> some but not all of their display areas. This could be <br /> accomplished by the following: <br /> I. Adding a new classification to the off-street parking <br /> requirements of section 37(A) for vehicle dealerships: <br /> Part .
