<br /> 103 <br />Regular Meeting April 10, 1989 Page 7 <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval to trade-in a <br />microscope, Southern Precision Instrument (PSI), worth $350.00 <br />when new, that is no longer in use to reduce the bid amount from <br />$31,739.00 to $21,328.00 for the purchase of an atomic absorption <br />spectrophotometer from Gerald Brooks (Perkin-Elmer Corp., San <br />Antonio, Texas) awarded on March 27, 1989. Mr. Moore moved for <br />approval of the trade-in and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration an addendum, <br />authorization to bid Well Site A Water Transmission Main. Mr. <br />Moore moved for authorization to bid and Ms. Kissler seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session <br />pursuant to Article 6252-17, Sections 2(e) and (g), V.A.C.S., to <br />discuss pending litigation (San Marcos Joint Venture vs. City; <br />Murray vs. Tarbutton; LCRA Rate Cases #8400 and #8032); matters <br />where the duties of the City Attorney to the City pursuant to the <br />Code of Professional Responsibility of the State Bar of Texas <br />clearly conflicts with Article 6252-17; evaluation of a public <br />officer or employee (Council Appointee); and the duties of a <br />public officer or employee, respectively, and Mr. Moore seconded <br />the motion, which passed unanimously (11:30 p.m.). <br />Mr. Hernandez moved the Council reconvene at 1:39 a.m. and Mr. <br />Plummer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The meeting adjourned at 1:39 a.m. on motion made by Mr. <br />Hernandez and seconded by Mr. Brown. <br /> ~~;~ <br /> ~~ <br />~~ t, ~ J~~k ::rnand:Z <br />Billy G.
