<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2007- 181 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, NOMINATING CANDIDATES FOR <br />APPOINTMENT TO COMMITTEES OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF <br />CITIES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. It is in the interest and welfare of the citizens of the City of San Marcos, Texas, to have <br />direct representation before the National League of Cities through the membership by City Council <br />Members on committees of the National League of Cities. <br /> <br />2. The City Council wishes to nominate persons to serve on committees of the National <br />League of Cities. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. The following City Council Members are nominated for appointments to the <br />following committees of the National League of Cities: <br /> <br />Council Member <br /> <br />Committee <br /> <br />Chris Jones <br />Betsy Robertson <br />Susan Narvaiz <br />John Thomaides <br /> <br />Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources - Policy <br />Energy, Environment, and Natural Resources - Steering <br />Finance, Administration, and Intergovernmental Relations <br />University Communities Council <br /> <br />PART 2. A copy of this resolution shall be forwarded to the Texas Municipal League in order <br />that it be received on or before October 5, 2007. <br /> <br />PART 3.
