<br />3 <br />Regular Meeting May 22, 1989 Page 2 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE MASTER PLAN FOR SAN MARCOS <br /> BY THE ADOPTION OF THE "RECOMMENDED COLLECTION SYSTEM <br /> IMPROVEMENTS MAP" AS A SUPPLEMENT TO MAP VIII-2 IN THE <br /> PUBLIC WORKS ELEMENT OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS MASTER <br /> PLAN AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Morris declared the public hearing open. There was no one <br />present to speak for or in opposition of the Ordinance. Mayor <br />Morris declared the public hearing closed. Mr. Hernandez moved <br />to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Moore seconded <br />the motion which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced a report from Economic Development Council <br />regarding "Take Stock in San Marcos" campaign. Mr. Jerry Romero <br />was present on behalf of Economic Development Council. He stated <br />the "Take Stock in San Marcos" campaign was to benefit economic <br />development in San Marcos and had surpassed the goal of $50,000.00. <br />He stated to date $52,850.00 had been invested with 58 investors <br />from a variety of walks of life participating. He stated his support <br />of the City Council and the citizens of San Marcos in making this <br />campalgn a success. <br />Mayor Morris introduced approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, AMENDING ARTICLE X, MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD, <br /> OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO PERMIT UP <br /> TO FIVE MEMBERS OF THE MAIN STREET ADVISORY BOARD TO <br /> BE NON-RESIDENTS OF THE CITY, ESTABLISHING CRITERIA FOR <br /> THEIR ELIGIBILITY AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Mr. Plummer seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE I, SECTION <br /> 2-7, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION <br /> OF A PROVISION FOR THE SALE OF ORDINANCES COMPREHENSIVELY <br /> UPDATED BY THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT; AND DECLARING AN EF- <br /> FECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Hernandez moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and <br />Mr. Moore seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MAR- <br /> COS, TEXAS AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE <br /> OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF A NO PARKING TOW-AWAY <br /> ZONE ON COMANCHE STREET, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br />Mr. Moore moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading, and <br />Mr. Plummer seconded the motion which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced approval of an Ordinance on first reading, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br />
