Attachment A <br />Professional Engineering Services Scope of Work <br />Support of the Preparation of a Preliminary Engineering Report for the <br />Pat Garrison Improvements <br />The Project scope includes providing engineering services to support the preparation of a <br />preliminary engineering report (PER) for the study area. The study area is the existing intersection <br />of Pat Garrison Street and Fredericksburg Street as well as the following adjacent roadway <br />segments: Pat Garrison Street, between Comanche Street and Guadalupe Street, Comanche Street <br />from Hutchinson Street to 200 feet north of Pat Garrison Street, and Fredericksburg Street from <br />Hutchinson Street to 200 feet north of Pat Garrison Street. The Engineer will perform survey and <br />traffic counts to document existing conditions. Up to two (2) reasonable alternative intersection <br />configurations will be developed for the Pat Garrison Street and Fredericksburg Street intersection. <br />Additional area improvements may include the addition of sidewalks, ADA pedestrian ramps, and <br />a new waterline. Existing conditions, alternative concepts, recommendations and preliminary cost <br />estimates will be summarized in the PER. <br />I. SCOPE OF CONSULTANT'S BASIC SERVICES <br />A. Data Evaluation <br />The Engineer will: <br />Review available data including as -built drawings for the existing roadways, right -of- <br />way (ROW) and ownership data, utility records, and previously prepared studies, reports, <br />and plans furnished by the City. <br />2. Develop project design criteria for review and approval by the City prior to commencing <br />with any work. The Engineer will prepare a Design Summary Report listing the design <br />criteria to be used for the conceptual schematic of the Project. <br />B. Survev <br />The Engineer will: <br />1. Coordinate with adjacent landowners and request right -of -entry to adjacent properties, <br />as necessary within the Project limits. If right -of -entry is not provided voluntarily by <br />the landowner, the Engineer will notify the City and the City will be responsible for <br />obtaining right -of- entry. <br />2. Furnish temporary signs, traffic control, flags, and safety equipment as needed during <br />field survey operations. <br />3.
