ORDINANCE 2014 -52 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING THE TRAFFIC REGISTER <br />MAINTAINED UNDER SECTION 82.067 OF THE SAN MARCOS <br />CITY CODE BY INCREASING THE SPEED LIMIT FROM 30 MILES <br />PER HOUR TO 35 MILES PER HOUR ON RIVER ROAD <br />SOUTHWEST FROM STATE HIGHWAY 80 TO THE INTERSTATE <br />35 FRONTAGE ROAD; AND INCLUDING PROCEDURAL <br />PROVISIONS. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. Pursuant to Sections 82.003 and 82.066 of the San Marcos Code, and on the basis of <br />finding that a speed limit of 35 miles per hour is reasonable and prudent, the traffic register maintained under <br />Section 82.067 of the City Code is amended by increasing the following speed limit: <br />River Road, Southwest from State Highway 80 to the Interstate Highway 35 frontage road— 35 mph <br />SECTION 2. If any word, phrase, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this ordinance is held to be <br />unconstitutional or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the other provisions of this ordinance will <br />continue in force if they can be given effect without the invalid portion. <br />SECTION 3. All ordinances and resolutions or parts of ordinances or resolutions in conflict with <br />this ordinance are repealed. <br />SECTION 4.
