Services Carol Barrett <br />Also Present: Dan Wegmiller, Carol Polumbo, Kim Moore, Stephanie Garcia, <br />Rebecca Britian, Melissa Millecam, Ernest Cavasos and others. <br />Mayor Narvaiz called the meeting to order at 12:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Narvaiz lead the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance, the <br />caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, <br />AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE AND SALE OF COMBINATION TAX AND REVENUE <br />CERTIFICATE OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 2007; PROVIDING FOR THE SECURITY <br />FOR AND PAYMENT OF SAID; PRESCRIBING THE FORM OF SAID CERTIFICATES; <br />AWARDING THE SALE THEREOF; APPROVING THE OFFICIAL STATEMENT; AND <br />ENACTING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT, <br />Mr. Guerrero moved for adoption of the Ordinance, and Mr. Jones seconded <br />the motion. Mr. O'Leary stated On January 8, 2007, the City Council <br />directed publication of notice of the City's intention to issue <br />certificates of obligation in one or more series in an aggregate <br />principal amount not to exceed $23,000,000.00. He stated the proceeds of <br />these bonds are necessary for the financing of the construction of the <br />* Mr. Thomaides was not present. <br />
