<br /> 164 <br />Regular Meeting September 11, 1989 Page 7 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INITIATION OF CONDEMNATION <br /> PROCEEDINGS TO ACQUIRE A 0.96, 0.55 AND 0.61 ACRE PUBLIC <br /> UTILITY EASEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH WATER AND WASTEWATER <br /> PIPELINE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING INITIATION OF CONDEMNATION <br /> PROCEEDINGS TO ACQUIRE A 1.29, 1.93, 0.43 AND 0.49 ACRE <br /> PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS IN CONNECTION WITH WATER AND <br /> WASTEWATER PIPELINE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval for the City <br />Manager to seek requests for proposals for the SCADA System for <br />Water and Wastewater Facilities. Mr. Moore moved for approval <br />and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval for <br />authorization to bid the Thorpe Lane Reconstruction Phase I. Mr. <br />Hernandez moved for approval to authorize bidding and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval to reject bid <br />and authorize rebidding for Reroofing of Central Fire Station and <br />Police Department. Ms. Kissler moved to reject the bids received <br />and to rebid the project and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval to award bid <br />for the Northeast IH35 Waterline Materials Project. Mr. <br />Hernandez moved to award bid to A&P Water and Sewer Supplies, <br />Inc. of Austin, Texas in the amount of $178,156.60 and Mr. Moore <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of wastewater <br />service for the San Marcos Factory Shops. Mr. Hernandez moved to <br />approve the City providing wastewater service to San Marcos <br />Factory Shops (outside city limits) and Mr. Hart seconded the <br />motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Morris introduced a discussion regarding a proposed fee <br />increase for facility rentals as recommended by the Parks and <br />Recreation Advisory Board. The City Council reviewed the fees <br />and directed an Ordinance amendment be prepared for the Council's <br />consideration. Mr. Plummer expressed interest in carnivals being <br />allowed to continue under our current policy. <br />Agenda Item 18, a discussion regarding parking restriction on <br />FM621 was discussed earlier in the meeting. . <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration an Executive Session <br />pursuant to Article 6252-17, Section 2(e), V.A.C.S., to discuss <br />pending litigation (Allen vs. City; Greenwood vs. City). Mr. <br />Hernandez moved the Council adjourn into Executive Session at <br />9:31 p.m. and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously (Mr. Moore not present to vote on this item). <br />Mr. Hernandez moved the Council reconvene at 9:35 p.m. and Ms. <br />Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />The meeting adjourned at 9:37 p.m. on motion made by Mr. <br />Hernandez and seconded by Mr. Moore. <br /> 1> ~~L~ <br />&~~. ~ ~~ <br /> ' / <br />Billy G.
