RESOLUTION 2014 -148R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND THE SAN MARCOS <br />CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT FOR THE <br />CITY'S PROVISION OF POLICE OFFICERS TO THE SCHOOL <br />DISTRICT TO SERVE AS SCHOOL RESOURCE OFFICERS; <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO <br />EXECUTE THIS AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The attached School Resource Officer Program Interlocal Agreement <br />between the City and the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District for the City's <br />provision of four school resource officers (the "Agreement ") is approved. <br />PART 2. The City and the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District <br />enter into this Agreement pursuant to the Interlocal Cooperation Act, Chapter 791 of the Texas <br />Government Code, as amended. <br />PART 3. The City Manager, or his designee, is authorized to execute this agreement <br />on behalf of the City. <br />PART 4.
