<br />. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />117 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1980-31 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ZONING FOR TRAFFIC AND RATE OF <br />SPEED THEREIN, ON R. M. HIGHWAY 12 IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS; DEFINING SPEEDING AND FIXING A PENALTY THEREFOR; DECLARING WHAT MAY BE <br />A SUFFICIENT COMPLAINT IN PROSECUTIONS HEREUNDER; WITH A SAVING CLAUSE REPEALING <br />CONFLICTING LAWS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />Section I <br /> <br />It is hereby determined upon the basis of an Engineering and Traffic investi- <br />gation that the prima facie maximum speed limit on those portions of R. M. <br />Highway 12 routed in the City Limits of San Marcos, is as hereinafter stated, <br />which prima facie maximum speed limit shall be effective at all times and signs <br />will be erected giving notice of the prima facie maximum speed limit so <br />declared to wit. <br /> <br />Speed Zone <br /> <br />R. M. Highway 12 <br /> <br />For Westbound Traffic: <br /> <br />Beginning at centerline station 115+63.15 to station 65+00, a distance <br />of 0.959 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 40 miles per hour. <br /> <br />From station 65+00 to station 49+55.3, a distance of 0.293 miles, a <br />prima facie maximum speed limit of 30 miles per hour. <br /> <br />From station 49+25.3 to station 9+75, a distance of 0.748 miles, a <br />prima facie maximum speed limit of 30 miles per hour. <br /> <br />From station 9+75 to station 718+22, a distance of 0.597 miles, a prima <br />facie maximum speed limit of 35 miles per hour. <br /> <br />From station 718+22 to station 705+88, a distance of 0.234 miles, a <br />prima facie maximum speed limit of 45 miles per hour. <br /> <br />From station 705+88 to the west city limit of San Marcos at station <br />666+46.5, a distance of 0.746 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit <br />of 50 miles per hour. <br /> <br />For Eastbound Traffic: <br /> <br />Beginning at the west city limit of San Marcos at station 666+46.5 to <br />station 705+88, a distance of 0.746 miles, a prima facie maximum speed <br />limit of 50 miles per hour. <br /> <br />From station 705+88 to station 718+22, a distance of 0.234 miles, a <br />prima facie maximum speed limit of 45 miles per hour. <br />
