. I I 117 ORDINANCE NO. 1980-31 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ZONING FOR TRAFFIC AND RATE OF SPEED THEREIN, ON R. M. HIGHWAY 12 IN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS; DEFINING SPEEDING AND FIXING A PENALTY THEREFOR; DECLARING WHAT MAY BE A SUFFICIENT COMPLAINT IN PROSECUTIONS HEREUNDER; WITH A SAVING CLAUSE REPEALING CONFLICTING LAWS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. Section I It is hereby determined upon the basis of an Engineering and Traffic investi- gation that the prima facie maximum speed limit on those portions of R. M. Highway 12 routed in the City Limits of San Marcos, is as hereinafter stated, which prima facie maximum speed limit shall be effective at all times and signs will be erected giving notice of the prima facie maximum speed limit so declared to wit. Speed Zone R. M. Highway 12 For Westbound Traffic: Beginning at centerline station 115+63.15 to station 65+00, a distance of 0.959 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 40 miles per hour. From station 65+00 to station 49+55.3, a distance of 0.293 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 30 miles per hour. From station 49+25.3 to station 9+75, a distance of 0.748 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 30 miles per hour. From station 9+75 to station 718+22, a distance of 0.597 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 35 miles per hour. From station 718+22 to station 705+88, a distance of 0.234 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 45 miles per hour. From station 705+88 to the west city limit of San Marcos at station 666+46.5, a distance of 0.746 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 50 miles per hour. For Eastbound Traffic: Beginning at the west city limit of San Marcos at station 666+46.5 to station 705+88, a distance of 0.746 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 50 miles per hour. From station 705+88 to station 718+22, a distance of 0.234 miles, a prima facie maximum speed limit of 45 miles per hour.
