Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption of a Zoning Ordinance, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, 1984 (VOLUME 66) BY CHANGING THE PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT ZONING BY REVISING A P.U.D. DEVELOPME~T PLAN FOR BLOCK A, LOTS 1-27 AND BLOCK B, LOTS 1-26 OF THE PARKLANE GARDEN HOMES SUBDIVISION, PHASE I, RECORDED IN VOLUME 5, PAGE 75, HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, AND BLOCK A, LOTS 28-75 AND BLOCK B, LOTS 27-68 OF THE SUNRIDGE PLAT RECORDS, WHICH TOGETHER WITH STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY DEDICATED THEREIN CONSISTS OF A TOTAL OF 26.49 ACRES OF LAND, MORE OR LESS, A/K/A PARKLANE GARDEN HOMES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak for or against the Zoning Ordinance. Jack Cook, Project Manager for Parklane Homes, stated he was present to answer any questions. No one else wished to speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Moore seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Moore, Hernandez, Morris, Kissler, Plummer. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Guerra (Mr. Guerra lives within 200 feet of this zoning). Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 9-l/2-1(c) OF CHAPTER 9-1/2 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO INCREASE SMEU ELECTRIC TARIFFS; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Mr. Moore moved for adoption of the Ordinance on emergency and Mr. Plummer seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, TERMINATING REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER ONE, CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 29 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF A NO PARKING TOW-AWAY ZONE ON EAST BLUEBONNET STREET, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
