Regular Meeting July 17, 2006 Page 10 <br />Annual Conference in October, they must be received by TML no later than <br />September 11, 2006. Mayor Narvaiz stated the Council has discussed sending <br />a Resolution regarding the General Land Office removing land off tax rolls. <br />Mr. Mihalkanin stated he would like to send a renewed Resolution regarding <br />outside entities taking land off of the tax roll. He stated the Resolution <br />should include approval from all taxing entities before a piece of property <br />is removed from the tax roll. Mr. O'Leary stated he will be meeting with <br />TML tomorrow and will take a copy of the GLO Resolution with him. The <br />Council agreed by consensus to prepare the Resolutions for the Council's <br />for approval in August. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding City Council direction on <br />future agenda items. Mayor Narvaiz stated she feels all future agenda <br />discussion items being requested by the Council should be brought back to <br />the Council after the budget process. 1) Mr. Mihalkanin stated he would <br />like a update on Well #4. 2) Mr. Jones stated he would like an update <br />regarding the Municipal Court and Municipal Court Judge. 3) Mr. Bose <br />stated he would like an update regarding C. M. Allen crossings. 4) Mr. <br />Bose stated he would like an report regarding the Redwood area and their <br />sewer system. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced returning to the Executive Session pursuant to the <br />Government Code, Section 551.071, to seek the City Attorney's advice <br />regarding pending litigation, contemplated litigation, a settlement offer, <br />or a matter involving attorney-client privilege (Bumb vs. City of San <br />Marcos; McCarty/Loop 110 Project; hotel occupancy tax); Sections 551.072 <br />and 551.073, to discuss value of real property (McCarty Lane area). The <br />Council adjourned into Executive Session at 10:30 p.m. <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene at 11:19 p.m. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration adoption or direction to Staff <br />on matters discussed in Executive Session. Mr. O'Leary stated the Council <br />received advice from the City Attorney regarding the McCarty/Loop 110 <br />Project and provided direction on how to proceed. He stated the Council <br />also received advice from the City Attorney regarding the hotel occupancy <br />tax, and Bumb vs. City of San Marcos, and provided direction how to <br />proceed. <br />The meeting adjourned at 11:20 p.m. on motion made by Mr. Bose and seconded <br />by Mr. Thomaides. <br />
