Regular Meeting <br />August 15, 2006 <br />137 <br />Page 14 <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval to set two public <br />hearings on a proposal to consider an increase in ad valorem taxes <br />(proposed dates and times: August 28, 2006, 6:00 p.m. and August 31, 2006, <br />6:00 p.m.) Mr. Jones moved to set the public hearing at 6:00 p.m. on <br />August 28, 2006, and August 31, 2006, in the City Council Chambers, 630 E. <br />Hopkins Street, San Marcos, Texas, and Mr. Guerrero seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced a discussion regarding City Council direction on <br />future agenda items. 1) Mr. Guerrero stated he would like to have an update <br />regarding the drainage ditch at Allen Wood Homes.
