<br />1 <br /> <br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE <br />CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, DECEMBER 15, 2006 <br /> <br />PRESENT: Mayor <br />Mayor Pro-Tern <br />Deputy Mayor Pro-Tern <br />Council Members <br /> <br />* <br /> <br />Susan Narvaiz <br />Daniel Guerrero <br />Gaylord Bose <br />John Thomaides <br />Pam Couch <br />Betsy Robertson <br />Chris Jones <br /> <br />City Manager <br />Interim City Attorney <br />Interim City Clerk <br />Director of Administration <br />Director of Engineering <br /> <br />Dan O'Leary <br />Andy Quittner <br />Shelley Goodwin <br />Collette Jamison <br />Laurie Anderson <br /> <br />Also Present: Mathew Golding, Kim Moore, Brad Rollins, Melissa Millecam, <br />Kelly Franks, Cecil Pennington, Andy Alarcon, Cynthia Knox and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced approval of six appointments to Main Street <br />Advisory Board. Mr. Guerrero moved to reappoint William Hayslip as the <br />downtown business owner representative, Ms. Robertson moved to appoint Ed <br />Cable as a citizen representative, Mr. Bose moved to appoint Ralph Meyer as <br />a citizen-at-large representative, Mr. Guerrero moved to reappoint Bob <br />Sappington as a historical group leader representative, Mr. Jones moved to <br />appoint Mathew Golding as a downtown business owner representative, and Ms. <br />Couch moved to appoint Steve Searle as a banker representative, which <br />passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Council adjourned into Workshop at 11:40 a.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene into Special Meeting at <br />12:04 p.m. <br /> <br />Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government <br />Code, Section 551.087, to discuss commercial or financial information the <br />City has received from a business prospect that the City seeks to have <br />locate, stay or expand in or near the City and with which the City is <br />conducting economic development negotiations, or to deliberate the offer of <br /> <br />1* <br /> <br />Mr. Guerrero left the Meeting at 1:29 p.m. <br />
