1 MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECEMBER 15, 2006 PRESENT: Mayor Mayor Pro-Tern Deputy Mayor Pro-Tern Council Members * Susan Narvaiz Daniel Guerrero Gaylord Bose John Thomaides Pam Couch Betsy Robertson Chris Jones City Manager Interim City Attorney Interim City Clerk Director of Administration Director of Engineering Dan O'Leary Andy Quittner Shelley Goodwin Collette Jamison Laurie Anderson Also Present: Mathew Golding, Kim Moore, Brad Rollins, Melissa Millecam, Kelly Franks, Cecil Pennington, Andy Alarcon, Cynthia Knox and others. Mayor Narvaiz called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. I Mayor Narvaiz introduced approval of six appointments to Main Street Advisory Board. Mr. Guerrero moved to reappoint William Hayslip as the downtown business owner representative, Ms. Robertson moved to appoint Ed Cable as a citizen representative, Mr. Bose moved to appoint Ralph Meyer as a citizen-at-large representative, Mr. Guerrero moved to reappoint Bob Sappington as a historical group leader representative, Mr. Jones moved to appoint Mathew Golding as a downtown business owner representative, and Ms. Couch moved to appoint Steve Searle as a banker representative, which passed unanimously. The Council adjourned into Workshop at 11:40 a.m. Mayor Narvaiz announced the Council would reconvene into Special Meeting at 12:04 p.m. Mayor Narvaiz introduced an Executive Session pursuant to the Government Code, Section 551.087, to discuss commercial or financial information the City has received from a business prospect that the City seeks to have locate, stay or expand in or near the City and with which the City is conducting economic development negotiations, or to deliberate the offer of 1* Mr. Guerrero left the Meeting at 1:29 p.m.
