68 Regular Meeting January 25, 1988 Page 8 Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.1 TO THAT CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES WITH CHARLES WILLIS & ASSOCIATES APPROVED BY SAID COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 16, 1987, PERTAINING TO THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT BUILDING, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT AND DECLAR- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, NAY: Nicola. ABSTAIN: None. Guerra, Younger, Hernandez, Kissler. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AMENDMENT NO.2 TO THAT CONTRACT FOR ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES WITH CHARLES WILLIS & ASSOCIATES APPROVED BY SAID COUNCIL ON DECEMBER 16, 1987, PERTAINING TO THE SAN MARCOS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT BUILDING, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID CITY TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT AND DECLAR- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger moved for adoption of the Resolution and ~1r. Hernandez seconded the motion. The Council discussed the possibility of in the future receiving request for proposals on projects of this magnitude to give the City multiple options. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Guerra, Younger. NAY: Brown, Farr, Hernandez, Kissler, Nicola. ABSTAIN: None. The Staff was directed to discuss this further with Mr. Willis. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AMENDMENT NUMBER TEREE TO CONTRACT NUMBER 705082 BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF COMMU- NITY AFFAIRS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID AMENDMENT ON BEHALF OF SAID CITY, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Nicola se- conded the motion. Mayor Younger stated he would like a penalty to be imposed if payments to the City from Ember Industries exceed the 10-day grace period. Mr. Guerra stated he would like a status report regarding Ember Industries and make the report availabe to the public. The Council voted unanimously for adoption of the Resolution.
