<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2007- 193 R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS, REPEALING RESOLUTION 2007-74R AUTHORIZING THE <br />PURCHASE OF A PURSUIT SEDAN AND TWO PICKUP TRUCKS FROM <br />WINDHAM MOTOR CO. FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT THROUGH <br />THE TEXAS BUILDING AND PROCUREMENT COMMISSION; <br />RESCINDING THE ISSUANCE OF A CITY PURCHASE ORDER FOR THE <br />PROCUREMENT OF THESE THREE VEHICLES; APPROVING THE <br />PURCHASE OF A PURSUIT SEDAN AND TWO PICKUP TRUCKS FROM <br />BABY JACK II AUTOMOTIVE LTD. FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT <br />THROUGH THE TEXAS COMPTROLLER OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTS; <br />AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE <br />APPROPRIA TE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />RECITALS: <br /> <br />1. On April 17, 2007 the City Council approved Resolution 2006-74R which <br />authorized the purchase of a full size Chevrolet Impala pursuit vehicle, and two Chevrolet pickup <br />trucks for the Police Department in the amount of $50,989.00 from Windham Motor Co., L.P. <br />through the Texas Building and Procurement Commission ("TBPC"). <br /> <br />2. Subsequent to that approval and during the ordering process City staff was <br />informed that the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts ("TCP A"), the agency now handling <br />state contracts for municipalities, had cancelled its contract with Windham Motor Co. and re- <br />awarded the contract to Baby Jack II Automotive Ltd. <br /> <br />3. The City wishes to purchase the pursuit vehicle and the two pickup trucks from <br />Baby Jack II Automotive Ltd. through the TCP A. <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. Resolution 2007-66R which authorized the purchase of a full size Chevrolet <br />Impala pursuit vehicle and two Chevrolet pickup trucks for the Police Department in the amount <br />of $50,989.00 from Windham Motor Co., L.P. through the TBPC is repealed and the issuance of <br />a purchase order by the City for this purchase is rescinded. <br /> <br />PART 2. The purchase of a full size Chevrolet Impala pursuit sedan for the Police <br />Department in the amount of $18,048.00 from Baby Jack II Automotive Ltd. through the TCPA <br />is approved. <br /> <br />PART 3. The purchase of a Series 843B Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck for the Police <br />
