129 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, FEBRUARY 22, 1988 PRESENT: Mayor J. E. Younger Mayor Pro-Tern Council Members * Gerald G. Farr Karl W. Gilley George Boeker Rodney Cobb Steve Jenkins Myron Galchutt Also Present: Emmie Craddock, Patty Wenk, Mark Hendricks, Larry Brinkmeyer, Jay Moore, Nelvia Burleson, Rose Brooks, Michelle Bur- leson, Alphonso Washington, Father McCabe, Gene Bagwell, Ollie Giles, Dan Gibson, Don Ennis, Jr. Ben Ford and others. Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held February 8, 1988. Mr. Brown moved for approv- al and Mr. hernandez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Guerra, Younger, hernandez. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Kissler. Mayor Younger introduce d for consideration approval of the minutes of the Emergency Meeting held February 10, 1988. Mr. Guerra moved for approval of the minutes and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Special Meeting held February 17, 1988. Ms. Kissler moved for ap- proval and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an appointment to the Plumbing Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mr. Guerra moved to appoint Raymond Delgado and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Council directed the members draw lots for staggered terms and that the terms of office begin with March, 1988 since the Board has never met. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of five appoint- ments to the City of San Marcos Electrical Board. The new Electrical Code Ordinance adopted by the City Council February 8, 1988 sets up a new Board. Mr. Guerra moved to appoint Elias Verver (Master Elec- trician), and Cecil Cowan (representative of San Marcos Electric Utility), and Mayor Younger moved to appoint Drew Aubin (Master Electrician), Michael G. Owens (Master Electrician) and Frank Wallace (Master Electrician). On roll call the Council voted unanimously for approval of these five members. The Council requested the Board draw lots for staggered terms. *Messrs. Farr and Nicola were not present at this meeting.
