(b) as follows:" except that the Chief of Police, unless otherwise directed by the City Council, is author- ized to cause to be painted. . . .", and Mayor Younger seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The Chief of Police is directed to complete the reserved times as is appropriate. The Council voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION A105.4.l OF THE 1985 STANDARD MECHANICAL CODE ADOPTED FEBRUARY 23, 1987, AND ESTABLISHI~G AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Ms. Kissler moved for approval of the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion. Ms. Kissler expressed concern that it may be difficult to get members to serve on this Board if the membership was too restrictive. Mr. Nicola said it might be difficult but he felt the Board needed specialized persons. The Council requested a listing be provided of the licensed persons in this field. Mr. Farr moved to amend the Ordinance in Section A.105.4.l to call the Board "Mechanical Code Board of Adjustments and Appeals", and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Guerra moved to amend the Ordinance in Section A.105.4.l as follows: 11 ... Such Board may be composed of three contractors licensed to install mechanI'Cal equipment, . . . .", and Mayor Younger seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Guerra, Younger, Hernandez. NAY: Farr, Kissler, Nicola. ABSTAIN: None. The motion passed. The Council then voted unanimously for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration reconsideration of two Zoning Ordinances. The Council did not wish to reconsider these Ordinances.
