<br />solicitations and promotional programs to attract tourists and convention delegates or registrants to <br />the [City and] its vicinity," and for no other purpose. <br />D. The Chamber shall be entitled to administrative expenses incurred directly in fulfilling its <br />responsibilities under this Contract. These administrative expenses shall not exceed 55% of the <br />Tourism Funds received by the Chamber from the City, and shall be used only when costs are <br />incurred directly in the Chamber's tourism promotion activities. The Chamber shall track all <br />administrative expenses related to this contract, including any allocation of persOImel resources, and <br />report such expenses to the City as part of the reports required in Section 2.C, below. <br />E. The Chamber shall maintain funds provided by the City under this Contract in a separate <br />account established for that purpose, and the Chamber may not commingle that revenue with any <br /> <br />other money or maintain it in any other account. <br />F. The Chamber shall maintain complete and accurate financial records of each expenditure <br />of Tourism Funds and, at the request of the City Manager or his designee, or of any other person, <br />shall make the records available for inspection and review during normal business hours. <br /> <br />2. USE OF FUNDS <br /> <br />A. The Chamber shall use the Tourism Funds for the promotion of Hispanic tourism and <br />cultural events in San Marcos. The Chamber will ensure that the mission of the Hispanic Chamber <br />under this contract is to serve as a connection to local, national, and international Hispanic markets <br />to promote the City of San Marcos as a prime tourist destination. The Chamber will accomplish this <br />mission through the following activities: <br />1. Coordination and support of special cultural events that target the Hispanic market. <br /> <br />2. Provide the Hispanic market access to information on all community events. <br /> <br />3. Maintain a full-time staff to assist in coordination of activities with the San Marcos <br />Convention and Visitors Bureau. <br /> <br />4. Utilize the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the Texas Association of <br />Mexican American Chambers of Commerce, and the Internet to promote the City of <br />San Marcos to the Hispanic market. <br /> <br />B. The Chamber shall make these expenditures in confornlance with and in proportion to the <br />Chamber Tourism and Cultural Events budget for 2007-2008 which is marked Exhibit A attached to <br /> <br />2 <br />
