RESOLUTION 2014 -157R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN ANNUAL CONTRACT BETWEEN <br />THE CITY AND SAN ANTONIO TESTING LABORATORY, INC. FOR <br />THE PROVISION OF ANALYTICAL TESTING SERVICES FOR THE <br />PUBLIC SERVICES DEPARTMENT IN THE TOTAL ANNUAL <br />AMOUNT OF $33,225.00; RATIFYING THE PURCHASING MANAGER'S <br />EXECUTION OF THE PURCHASING DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF <br />THE CITY; APPROVING AN EXTENSION OF THE ANNUAL <br />CONTRACT IN AN ESTIMATED ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $33,225.00; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />1. The City administratively awarded an annual contract for analytical testing services <br />(the "Contract ") effective January 19, 2014, as a result of a competitive bid process (IFB 214- <br />016), to San Antonio Testing Laboratory, Inc. in the total annual amount of $33,225.00. <br />2. The City wishes to extend the Contract for the first one year extension term at the <br />estimated annual amount of $33,225.00 as allowed under the Contract provisions. <br />3. Because of the extension, the total cost of the Contract will now exceed $50,000.00 <br />and therefore requires City Council approval. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The Contract between the City and San Antonio Testing Laboratory, Inc. for <br />analytical testing services in the total annual amount of $33,225.00 is approved. <br />PART 2. The Purchasing Manager's execution of the purchasing documents on behalf <br />of the City is ratified. <br />PART 3. The extension of the Contract in the estimated annual amount of $33,225.00 is <br />approved. <br />PART 4. This Resolution will be in full force and effect immediately from and after its <br />passage. <br />ADOPTED this the 18th day of November, 2014 <br />
