RESOLUTION 2014 -158 R A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AWARDING A CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT TO M &C FONSECA CONSTRUCTION CO., INC. FOR THE LOOP STREET WATER LINE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT (IFB 215 -002) IN THE BID AMOUNT OF $725,198.60 CONTINGENT UPON THE BIDDER'S TIMELY SUBMISSION OF SUFFICIENT BONDS AND INSURANCE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CITY'S BID DOCUMENTS FOR THE PROJECT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THE CONTRACT DOCUMENTS ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS PART 1. The award of a construction contract to M &C Fonseca Construction Co., Inc. for the Loop Street Water Line Improvements Project (IFB 215 -002) in the bid amount of $725,198.60 (Base Bid and Alternate No. 1) is approved contingent upon the bidder's timely submission of sufficient bonds and insurance in accordance with the City's bid documents for the Project. PART 2. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute the contract documents on behalf of the City. PART 3.
