38 Regular Meeting April 11, 1988 Page 2 Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 21, PUBLIC SAFETY, OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 21-36 1/2, ARREST WITH WARRANT, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion. Mayor Younger moved to amend the Ordinance in Section 21-36 1/2 to read: ".... In compliance with the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Section 45.06, the Muni- cipal Court shall collect a special expense in the amount of $25.00 for each warrant issued. . . .", and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Gonzalez stated the Staff suggests the use of an out-of-the-city collection service. The Council then voted for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of one Ordinance on second reading and adoption of two Ordinances on third and final reading by consensus. Mr. Brown moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and for adoption of the two Ordinances on third and final reading by consensus and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The captions of these Ordinances read as follows: Approval of Ordinance on second reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 20-10 OF ARTICLE III OF CHAPTER 20 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY TO ADOPT THE 1985 EDITION OF THE STANDARD GAS CODE, THE 1986 REVISIONS THERETO AND ANY AND ALL SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS OR REVISIONS THERETO, AMENDING SECTION 20- 12 OF SAID ARTICLE OF SAID CHAPTER OF SAID CODE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Adoption of Ordinances on third and final reading: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ~1ENDING SECTION 29-144 OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES RELATING TO LOADING ZONES, CREATING A LOADING ZONE ON LINDSEY STREET AND ESTABLISH- ING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION A1O5.4.l OF THE 1985 STANDARD MECHANICAL CODE ADOPTED FEBRUARY 23, 1987, AND ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mayor Younger introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PROVISIONS OF A MINUTE ORDER ADOPTED BY THE TEXAS STATE DEPARTMENT OF HIGH- WAYS AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION RELATING TO PROPOSED IMPROVEMENTS UPON LOOP 82 FROM IH35 TO BUGG LANE, AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
