<br />38 <br /> <br />Regular Meeting <br /> <br />April 11, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br />on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING CHAPTER 21, PUBLIC SAFETY, <br />OF THE SAN MARCOS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY THE ADDITION <br />OF SECTION 21-36 1/2, ARREST WITH WARRANT, AND <br />ESTABLISHING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mr. Farr moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mr. <br />Hernandez seconded the motion. Mayor Younger moved to amend the <br />Ordinance in Section 21-36 1/2 to read: ".... In compliance <br />with the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, Section 45.06, the Muni- <br />cipal Court shall collect a special expense in the amount of $25.00 <br />for each warrant issued. . . .", and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. Mr. Gonzalez stated the Staff suggests <br />the use of an out-of-the-city collection service. The Council then <br />voted for approval of the Ordinance on first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of one Ordinance <br />on second reading and adoption of two Ordinances on third and final <br />reading by consensus. Mr. Brown moved for approval of the Ordinance <br />on second reading and for adoption of the two Ordinances on third and <br />final reading by consensus and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which <br />passed unanimously.
