Ms. Kissler moved to amend the Ordinance to <br />approve the amendments read into the record by City Secretary Janis <br />Womack and City Attorney Lamar Hankins and Mr. Brown seconded the mo- <br />tion, which passed unanimously. The Council then voted unanimously <br />for adoption of the Ordinance. <br /> <br />Mayor Younger then issued the Certificate of Election of Kathy M. <br />Morris as Mayor. Justice of the Peace Becky Sierra administered the <br />Oath of Office to Mayor Morris. Mayor Morris issued the Certificate <br />of Election of Council Member, Place Five, to Billy G. Moore and the <br />City Secretary administered Mr. Moore's Oath of Office. Mayor Morris <br />issued the Certificate of Election of Council Member, Place Six, to <br />Bill Plummer and the City Secretary administered Mr. Plummer's Oath <br />of Office. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris stated Items 6 and 7 on the Agenda would not be needed, <br />and consisted of adoption of an Ordinance ordering a Special Runoff <br />Election to be held on May 28, 1988, and adoption of a Resolution ap- <br />pointing the Presiding Judges and Alternate Judges to serve in the Spe- <br />cial Runoff Election to be held May 28, 1988. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris then went to Item 8 on the Agenda, to consider the election <br />of Mayor Pro-Tempore. Mr. Hernandez moved to appoint Fred Guerra as Mayor <br />Pro-Tempore and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion.
