Fred Hays stated he was <br />present to answer questions of the Council. No one else wished to <br />speak, so Mayor Morris closed the public hearing. Mr. Guerra moved <br />for adoption of the Zoning Ordinance and Mr. Brown seconded the mo- <br />tion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration a public hearing and adoption <br />of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE PLAN (MAP) <br />OF THE MASTER PLAN OF SAID CITY, OF 1.40 ACRES OF <br />LAND OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI SURVEY No.2, CITY <br />OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AS RECORDED IN <br />VOLUME 267, PAGE 159 OF THE HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, <br />SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, LOCATED AT 132 JACKSON STREET, FROM <br />HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO OFFICE AND PROFESSIONAL; <br />AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to <br />speak for or against the land use change. Mr. Brown moved for adoption of the Resolu- <br />tion and Mr. Hernandez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration reconsideration of a Zoning <br />Ordinance. The Council did not wish to reconsider this Ordinance. <br />The caption of this Ordinance reads as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED JUNE 13, <br />1984 (VOL. 66) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF 2.22 ACRES, <br />MORE OR LESS, OF LAND AREA OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI <br />SURVEy NO. ONE (1), HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, BEING THE SAME <br />REAL PROPERTY AS IS DENOMINATED "SECOND TRACT" IN THAT <br />DEED FROM E. M.
