RESOLUTION 2014 -164R <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AN AMENDED ANNUAL STATE USE <br />CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY AND GOODWILL TEMPORARY <br />SERVICES, INC. THROUGH THE TEXAS INDUSTRIES FOR THE <br />BLIND AND HANDICAPPED, INC. FOR THE PROVISION OF <br />JANITORIAL SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS IN THE <br />ESTIMATED ANNUAL AMOUNT OF $379,919.87; AUTHORIZING THE <br />CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE THIS AMENDED <br />CONTRACT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY AND DECLARING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br />PART 1. The procurement of janitorial services described in the attached State Use <br />Amended Contract (the "Contract ") with Goodwill Temporary Services, Inc. through the Texas <br />Industries for the Blind and Handicapped, Inc. ( "TIBH ") Code in the estimated annual amount of <br />$379,919.87 is approved as an exception to competitive bidding requirements, pursuant to the <br />provisions of Chapter 122, Texas Human Resources <br />PART 2. The Amended State Use Contract supersedes all previous contracts between <br />the City of San Marcos and Goodwill Temporary Services, Inc. for the provision of janitorial <br />services for the City of San Marcos. <br />PART 3. The City Manager or his designee is authorized to execute this Contract on <br />behalf of the City. <br />PART 4.
