Easley stated he wished to speak regarding Item 15, adoption of Resolution He encouraged the Council to support this Resolution. 3) Chelsea Bornemann stated she wished to speak regarding Item 15, adoption of Resolution. She stated she is a 10 years old who attended the kayaking training camp last summer and competes in races. She encouraged the Council to support this Resolution. 4) Jeff Leach stated he wished to speak regarding Item 15, adoption of Resolution. He encouraged the Council to support this Resolution. Mayor Narvaiz introduced the Staff Report. Ms. Jamison wished the Staff, citizens, and Council Happy Holidays. She also stated this is the last meeting of the year and last meeting for Dan O'Leary. She encouraged the community to attend the retirement celebration for Dan O'Leary on Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Activity Center. Ms. Jamison also stated the last day and a half the City has had email problems. She stated the email system should be fixed soon and she apologized for the inconvenience. Mayor Narvaiz introduced the City Council Report. 1) Mayor Narvaiz wished everyone a Merry Christmas. 2) Ms. Couch wished everyone a blessed and safe holiday. 3) Mr. Jones also wished everyone a Merry Christmas. 4) Mr. Thomaides stated he attended the Sights and Sounds Gala, which was successful fundraiser for Sights and Sounds. He encouraged everyone to attend next year. 5) Ms. Porterfield stated she attended the steering committee for the new P -16 Council, which is hosted by the School District. She stated this is an E3 Alliance, regional effort, strong business component as well as Chamber. She also stated this is a school broad based group, which is invested in our youth. 6) Mr. Bose wished everyone Happy Holidays and a Merry Christmas. He stated he attended Sights and Sounds and helped in the Main Street booth selling biscuits. He also wished his wife a happy 48th anniversary. 7) Mr. Guerrero stated he attended Sights and Sounds, he thanked the volunteers, organizations and City Staff for their hard work with this event. He also stated the Santa was incredible. He also wanted to thank Paul and Cessi Valdez for all the hard work they do in the community. He also wished everyone a Merry Christmas. He also wished Dan O'Leary well. He stated he was very grateful for all that Dan and his family did for San Marcos. 8) Mayor Narvaiz thanked Time Warner for their hard work with the Sights and Sounds Gala and for asking her to participate in the Gala. She stated she also participated in Bethlehem, where the participants saw the true meaning of Christmas and where taught how to make bread. She also stated there were record crowds at Sights and Sounds this year. Mayor Narvaiz stated the City hosted a Mexican delegation of about 35 Mayors and Council Members, which learned about our best practices , brought gifts to the City, and shopped at the Outlet Mall She also stated the LBJ hosted its 1St Annual Christmas Tree Lighting. She also stated she attended the Holiday Open House hosted by CONA. She state
